A large blade forged from a billet I forged using the ‘accordion’ method, in which sections are removed from the billet forming a zig-zag shape, which is then forged flat to reveal the pattern in the sides of the billet. The blade has high carbon steel edge bars forge-welded to the sides, and the tip was forge-welded together using a ‘fish mouth’ joint to ensure the continuity of the edge bars. This knife has a through tang with a threaded finial cap holding the blade inside the Thuya burl handle.
